Scene 1: All was still in the quaint city apartment. No one was home except for a small girl named Amanda. It was deathly hot, so the window had to be open because Amanda’s parents insisted on saving their money and left the house without air conditioning. But Amanda didn’t mind because she had a fresh supply of fairy tales. Now she was deep into her favorites, the Arabian stories.

Scene 2: Knock Knock Knock… Amanda doesn’t know what to think, so she cautiously opens the door to see a white company truck with a logo on it saying, Todo Inc and a big man holding papers asking if anyone ordered a carpet. Amanda turns her head to see another big man hauling a Persian oriental rug to the porch.

Scene 3: Amanda was very intrigued in her Arabian Fairy Tales book so she decided to read just a little more. She settled in on her new velvety Persian rug. But she fails to notice the rug just barely being lifted up off the floor.

Scene 4: Fairy tale or what? As the knowledge of a “Flying Carpet” comes to Amanda, she squirms around to insure her safety on this rug. But the Persian rug had other plans in mind as it flung Amanda off and tried to quickly “Fly” away.

Scene 5: In awestruck terror, Amanda watches with wide eyes as her new Persian Rug floats out the door, as if it was enchanted.

Conclusion: After a frightening scare Amanda decides to track down this mysterious carpet. So she bolts out the door and runs down the street while cars pile up watching a girl chase a flying carpet. She runs and runs and finally ends up within an arms length of the carpet. She grabs on to it and prepares for the ride of her life. Sadly, she didn’t always get what she wanted and instead got hit in the head by a sign because the rug decided to take a right turn. Although she was bruised Amanda decided to follow just a little bit more. She found her self at a carpet store that sells exquisite Persian Rugs. Then she saw it: a whole family of rugs tied up so they couldn’t fly away. Her rug tried to free the others but it was no use, it couldn’t untie the knots. It was so pitiful to watch that Amanda decided that she just had to go save those rugs. So she sneaked into the shop through the open window and tiptoes to the room with the rugs. She hastily unties the ropes as she watches her new found friends fly away. Maybe the stories were true after all. I wonder what will happen when I start reading my book on medieval fairy tales, she said, eager to embark on her next adventure.
